This is a very collectable Advertising Ashtray produced for COATES PLYMOUTH GIN and dating from the early 1960's, featuring a 'Man Overboard' Cartoon based on the MARITIME INTERNATIONAL CODE OF SIGNALS.
It is in Excellent Condition with just slight wear to the edge guilding and carries the backstamp "Issued by Coates & Company (Plymouth) Ltd. Plymouth. England."
Item measures 5" (13cm) wide.
