This is a FRENCH POTTERY ART NOUVEAU URN produced by PRIMAVERA OF PARIS.
The design studio of the Paris department store “Les Grand Magasins du Printemps”. The Department Store Au Printemps had been first to create an in-house atelier or workshop (the Atelier Primavera) which employed the talents of artists such as Rene Buthaud, Marcel Renard, Charlotte Chauchet, René Guilleré, Louis Sognot, to design interiors and decorative objects to fill them. Pottery was often produced at the “L’Atelier de Ceramique de Sainte-Radegonde” in Touraine between 1923 and 1926 or in The Longwy manufacture, in Longwy France.FRANCE.
The HAND POTTED urn measures 9" (23.5cm) high and 6 1/2" (17cm) ant it's widest point. It is decorated with a VIBRANT FLOWING GLAZE and has FOUR HANDLES to the shoulder. It carries the impressed mark of the factory "PRIMAVERA" to the base.
There is NO DAMAGE OR RESTORATION, aside from some fine surface chipping to the edge of the base commensurate with age, which does not detract.
