1930's Art Deco Dutch Bread Safe Tin.

This is an Original 1930's Dutch Bread Safe or Storage Tin, from the Netherlands.
The Bread Safe has 'Brood' (Dutch for 'Bread') written on the lid in an Art Deco Style Script, and has Metal Banding and a Hasp and Staple Lock to the front, to which you can fit a Padlock, if you want someone to stop eating (very clever these Dutch. - This is possibly why you never see many overweight Dutch people!).
The Safe is pierced to the top sides of the lid, so that the bread can breath, and is Tin Lined.
15 1/2 (39.3cm) wide, 12 1/2" (30.8cm) high.
It is in Extremely Good Condition and would look Fabulous in any Vintage Kitchen!
