Victorian Glass Charger - Llangwm Oyster Women
This is a Beautiful Victorian Hand Painted White Glass Charger depicting Welsh Oyster Women in National Costume.
This rare Charger is Beautifully decorated and the detail is Superb.
It is Hand Formed, with a Crimped edge and Ground Pontil.
It was decorated by the company Dolhain Wirths and is signed "M. Wirths" and the scene is entitled "Llangwm Oyster Women".
It depicts Three Welsh Women in Traditional Welsh Costume Gathering Oysters in Baskets.

The village of Llangwm nestles into the western bank of the Cleddau Estuary in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. The village was famous for it's Shellfish, which was the main source of industry, however this has now sadly gone.
The Charger has a measures 12" (30cm) wide.
Condition is Superb
