Burleigh Vase - Garden Pond & Yellow Irises c1930's
This is a Lovely Hand painted Burleigh Ware Art Deco Posy Bowl c1930's.
It has a wide flaired top and carries an Extremely Pretty Hand Painted Design of a Garden Pond, complete with Blue Pond, Crazy Paving Surround and Yellow Irises growing out from the Centre.
The vase was produced at the Burgess and Leigh Factory of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. It was one of the most prestigious Pottery manufacturers of the 1930's and where during this period, Charlotte Rhead worked.

The base of the vase has a 'stepped' shape, similar to Keith Murray's designs produced for Wedgwood.

It is in Lovely condition with no damage and just some slight use marks to the pond interior. It is fully marked to the base with the Burleigh Ware Beehive Mark.
It measures 6"(15cm) wide, by 2 1/2"(6cm) high.
A Beautiful piece of 1930's Art Deco Design.
