Victorian Staffordshire Spill Vase - Robin Hood c1860
This is a Superb Antique Staffordshire Group Spill Vase c1860
Depicting Robin Hood and Little John beneath a Tree Trunk which forms the Spill Vase.
Little John is holding his Staff, with which he challenged Robin to a duel. Lying at the foot of Robin is his dog. It is simply Titled to the front of the base "Robin Hood".

This Staffordshire Group is a Large size and measures 14 1/2"(37cm) high, by 9 1/2"(24cm) wide and weighs almost 2.4 KG so International Shipping will be expensive.

As with most Staffordshire Figures of this period there is damage, although in this case it is limited solely to the Little John figure on the Right, which has suffered a clean break across his shoulders and a smaller to the plume of his hat. These have been repaired in antiquity and are "Honest Repairs" noticable only on close inspection. Buyers should beware of restoration on pieces where Severe Damage can be masked and hidden - This is a CLEAN HONEST EXAMPLE WITHOUT RESTORATION OR OVERPAINTING.
As you can see from the Photo's - This is a PARTICULARLY FINE LOOKING EXAMPLE in GOOD CONDITION, which DISPLAYS SUPERBLY!
