This is the FIRST PEOPLES EDITION of ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS by LEWIS CARROLL published by MACMILLAN AND CO in 1897.

The book is in Very Good Condition. The edition is still tight with some shelf wear and fading to the cover, and a 2"(5cm) tear to top of the spine. Inside has some minor foxing, but it remains a good clean collectable copy of this rare 1st edition.
